Download & Stream: The New York Times & The Wall Street Journal In-Person

Please note, this class will be taught using a Mac. If you do not have a Macbook but do have another Apple device (i.e., iPad, iPhone), please bring that instead. If you do not have an Apple device, you can still come with your PC or Chromebook. We will provide a tutorial on how to use The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, which are available (effective 10/14) to Eastchester cardholders and Friends of the Library who have paid the current year's dues.

We will have a special emphasis on New York Times Games. Games and puzzles utilize cognitive skills such as focus, working memory, critical thinking, strategic thinking, creative thinking, and deductive reasoning. According to Dr. Mark Alberts of Hartford Hospital and the Ayer Neuroscience Institute, if you enjoy games, they can improve your ability to think and remember!
