There will be two separate programs: the Grades 6 - 8 event will take place on Thursday, January 23rd. This event is for Grades 3 - 5 only.

The History Bee is an exciting competition where you can display your knowledge of U.S., European and world history in a multi-round competition! Online registration required at www.eastchesterlibrary.org, click "Events" and "List of Events." Participants must have access to Google Meet on a personal (non-school) device. Open to students in New York State.

Winners will receive an automatic free entry to the Regional Competition of the National History Bee!* All participants will be eligible to take the Online Regional Qualifying Exam for the National History Bee (offered by International Academic Competitions) for free to try for a spot in regionals. Matthew DeMarco loved to sing, play tennis, ski and spend time with his friends and family. Most of all, he loved to learn, reading book after book, developing a deep and passionate knowledge of history and anything else that sparked his interest.

Matt represented Eastchester in regional and national history bees and was nationally ranked! Matthew's memory and love of reading have been honored with the Matthew DeMarco Memorial Collection at EPL.

*Three winners from the Grades 3 - 4 bracket, and three winners from Grade 5, including the highest-scoring student from Eastchester UFSD in each of these two groups. Winners must take the Online Regional Qualifying Exam for placement purposes using the Sponsor ID that will be given out that day.
