Friday Film: Mr. and Mrs. Bridge In-Person
After our screening of the Merchant Ivory documentary, we will continue out the month of January with three Friday's dedicated to their films.
A traditional Kansas City couple's orderly world begins to shift as modern social values take hold. Based on Evan S. Connell’s twin novels, the film gently traces the growing tension between Mr. Bridge’s strict conservatism and the increasingly independent, progressive views of his wife and children during the 1930s and 1940s. Starring Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward.
