Heart Health Awareness Program for Kids and Parents In-Person
This program focuses on educating families about the importance of heart health and how to prevent Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA). It will feature a discussion led by Dr. Srihari S. Naidu, Director of the HCM Center at Westchester Medical Center, alongside Lindsay Davis, co-author of the book Lindsay's Big Heart, which is inspired by her childhood experiences with heart health.
Dr. Naidu will highlight the importance of early detection and prevention of heart conditions like Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM), particularly in young athletes. He will discuss how screenings can saves lives and the critical role of heart health education from an early age.
This program is for kids and their parents and is presented by Guardians of the Heart. Guardians of the Heart is a student-led organization whose mission is to educate, spread awareness and inspire action among youth against cardiovascular disease.
